The Migos rapper kicks off his next solo chapter with a stylish, jazz-tinged freestyle.
Quavo is officially back in solo mode with the release of “SATCHAMO FREESTYLE,” a bold and braggadocious track that seems to mark the beginning of his third solo album rollout. Released Monday night, the freestyle features jazzy production and even a live trumpet performance — a nod to the legendary Louis Armstrong, also known as Satchmo.
While Quavo doesn’t directly emulate Armstrong’s sound, the tribute lies in spirit. The Atlanta artist uses the freestyle as a canvas to flex his accomplishments, fame, and artistic growth, delivering slick bars with swagger while a trumpeter riffs in the background, setting a cinematic tone.
“SATCHAMO FREESTYLE” is Quavo’s first major solo drop since 2023’s Rocket Power, and fans are already speculating that an album announcement may be just around the corner.
The single is available now on all major streaming platforms.
