Almighty Jay continues his 2026 run with “when?,” a new single that shows off a smoother side of his sound. The rapper leans into spacey production and melodic vocals, bringing more R&B influence into his music. He also mixes in lyrics filled with frustration and spite, giving the track a more personal edge.
The release follows earlier singles like “addicted.” and “one time.,” showing that Almighty Jay is staying active and continuing to build on his sound. While his career has seen plenty of changes over the years, “when?” gives listeners another look at his musical direction. Fans who enjoy melodic rap with a moody atmosphere may want to give this one a listen.
