Bobby Shmurda is getting plenty of attention with his latest release, “Broke My Heart (Off The Ramp Freestyle).” The new track is part of his Off The Ramp freestyle series and has been gaining traction online. While the release carries the freestyle label, its catchy hook and song structure give it the feel of a more complete record. Shmurda uses the opportunity to show listeners a different side of his sound.
Rather than relying on the aggressive delivery many fans may expect, Bobby takes a more relaxed approach over the production. The instrumental features small vocal details that help give the track its catchy feel, while the repeated refrain makes it easy to remember. With “Broke My Heart,” Shmurda is reminding listeners that he is still active and willing to experiment with his style. The release gives longtime fans something different while introducing a fresh direction to his music.
