Buffalo, New York has long been a city of grit, resilience, and raw talent, and D LES is living proof. With a sound rooted in authenticity and a story that mirrors the grind of his hometown, D LES is making serious noise in the hip-hop world.
For D LES, music wasn’t a choice. It was something that chose him. That purpose drove him to one of the biggest moments in his career so far: touring the country with Conway The Machine on the Slant Face Killer Tour. “It was an amazing experience,” he said. “It opened a lot of doors for me.” He later joined Drumwork Music Group’s own Jae Skeese for the Ground Level Tour, which gave him another platform to expand his fan base nationwide.
When it comes to style, D LES keeps it all the way real. “Everything is authentic and overall BUFFALO,” he explains. His lyrics speak directly to life’s struggles and victories, the kind of raw emotion that hits home for listeners from any background. “It’s real life, so who can’t relate?”
While many artists chase trends, D LES stays focused on genuine connections and building momentum. His collaborative energy is humble but strategic. “A lot of people reach out and I just try to support in any way I can,” he says. “Hopefully that comes back around full circle when I’m the one reaching out.”
At the core of it all is his love for music. “This is just what I do and who I am. An extra push isn’t even needed, it’s all I know,” he said. Even through challenges, D LES keeps moving forward, with social media helping him stay connected. He uses platforms like Instagram to interact directly with fans, keeping it fun and personal.
With a vault full of unreleased tracks, he’s letting his listeners guide what’s next. “I’m sitting on a lot of music, so I might release some snippets and let the fans guide me.”
