Jhené Aiko and Kendrick Lamar bring their longtime musical connection back to life with “So Good.” The smooth and dreamy track appears on Aiko’s new album Westside Whimsy and gives fans a relaxed song made for late nights and quiet moments.
The collaboration also carries some history. Aiko first appeared on Kendrick’s 2010 mixtape Overly Dedicated, before he later joined her on “Stay Ready (What a Life)” from her 2013 project Sail Out. Their latest meeting comes more than ten years later, making the song feel like a natural return for both artists.
Aiko leads the record with her soft vocals, while Kendrick adds a verse that fits the song without changing its calm mood. “So Good” is a familiar sounding reunion that shows the chemistry between them is still there.
