Jim Jones is helping close out the summer with a brief relationship track titled “Summer Where You Been At.” The Harlem rapper uses the hotter months of the year to reminisce about a seasonal fling he hopes will come back around. Built around a prominent sample of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince’s timeless “Summertime”, the record flips the laid-back classic into a distinctly New York affair, infusing it with Jones’ streetwise delivery and signature swagger. It’s a warm-weather anthem with a touch of nostalgia, but still rooted in the gritty charm of the former Diplomats MC.
