Despite the title, the track has nothing to do with the holiday and instead leans into Kodak’s familiar dark and emotional style.
The song rides a slow, moody beat filled with soft strings that give it a haunting feel. Kodak sounds focused and sharp, delivering lines with confidence and tension. While the production keeps things smooth and melodic, the real conversation starter comes from the lyrics themselves.
About halfway through the track, Kodak appears to aim direct shots at Boosie Badazz. He questions Boosie’s behavior, suggesting that he does not carry himself like a true OG and accusing him of throwing hate toward younger artists who are finding success and making money.
