Open Mike Eagle is stepping back into the spotlight with a new single and a bigger vision. The Chicago-born wordsmith just dropped “contraband (the plug has bags for me),” the lead track from his upcoming concept album Neighborhood Gods Unlimited, set to release July 11.
Known for his sharp wit, off-kilter flow, and introspective storytelling, Mike continues to blur the lines between satire and sincerity. The new project will feature appearances from his Previous Industries crew, including Mr. Aquil, Still Rift, and Video Dave. As always, listeners can expect layers of meaning, unexpected references, and a world only Mike Eagle could build.
