Canadian rap staple Shad is finally ready to return with Start Anew, his first album in more than four years. Leading the charge is “K.I.S.S.,” a sharp collaboration with Jon Kabongo built around the phrase Keep It Simple Stupid. On the track, Shad drives home the point with lines like, “The truth is bulletproof / If you wanna prove it / Shoot / Keep it simple stupid.” The acronym doubles as both a reminder and a mantra, giving fans a taste of the thoughtful yet catchy energy he’s bringing into this new era.
