Southern hip-hop stays undefeated, and Bubba Sparxxx and Big K.R.I.T. just dropped another anthem to prove it. Their new track, Yeah Buddy, marks their first-ever collaboration, but they sound like they’ve been trading bars for years.
Bubba Sparxxx, who first burst onto the scene in the early 2000s with hits like Ugly and Ms. New Booty, might not be in the mainstream spotlight like before, but he’s never stopped putting in work. Big K.R.I.T., the underground legend and Mississippi’s finest, has built a career on blending lyrical depth with trunk-rattling beats. Together, they create a hard-hitting, confident anthem that showcases their Southern roots while proving their flows are as sharp as ever.
With a music video already out, Yeah Buddy feels like more than just a one-off drop—it could be the start of something bigger. Could this mean a full project from the two? Only time will tell, but for now, hip-hop heads can enjoy another banger from two of the South’s most respected voices.
What do y’all think—should Bubba and K.R.I.T. keep the collabs coming? Let us know in the comments!
